Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: October 29, 2026

The short version

This Site is funded two ways: display advertising served by Google AdSense, and affiliate commissions on some outgoing links. When you click an affiliate link and then buy or sign up for something, we may receive a commission from the merchant. It costs you nothing extra — you pay the same price you would have paid going there directly.

We do not publish coupon codes, voucher pages or discount round-ups. Where a merchant or affiliate network forbids that kind of promotion — and most of them do — we simply do not write it.

Which programmes we are a member of

  • SiteGround

This list is updated as partnerships change. If a programme is not listed above, assume we do not earn from it.

What we have used, and what we have not

No provider named on this Site has been paid for by us. We do not hold a SiteGround plan, an account with them, or an invoice from them, and nothing here is written from behind a provider’s dashboard. Membership of an affiliate programme is a commercial arrangement, not evidence of use, and we do not present it as evidence of use.

What we do instead: read the provider’s own documentation, pricing page, support scope and terms; quote them; and link to them at the end of the article so the claim can be checked without trusting us. Where a conclusion follows from those documents rather than from something observed, the article labels it as inference.

The one thing that is first-hand is this Site itself: a static site built and deployed by the person who writes it, on Cloudflare Pages, with the DNS records and redirects the articles describe. Where an article says “on this site”, that was run here.

How this affects our recommendations

It does not decide them. A few things we hold to:

  • Commission rates do not set the order. Where ranking is subjective we say so, and we explain the criteria.
  • Downsides get published. Every comparison names the situations where a given provider is the wrong choice, including providers that pay the most.
  • Non-affiliate options get recommended when one is genuinely the better fit, and we say when something has no affiliate programme at all.
  • Links are marked in the markup. Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" in the page source, and an article containing one says so at the top of the article, not only in the footer.

Advertising

Display advertising is served by Google AdSense, which selects and delivers the ads. We do not sell ad space directly. Advertisers do not review, approve or influence our editorial content, and we do not accept sponsored posts or paid placements presented as editorial.

Because Google sets and reads advertising cookies on our pages, what is collected and how to opt out is set out in our Privacy Policy, section 3.
